Food!

Food has arrived! We had five loads of food delivered by the World Food Program today. We have one more that is supposed to be delivered but there seems to be some weather or mechanical problems. We still need food in two other areas that are more desparat than us because their roads are still impassable. We hear the WFP for Haiti is running out of food. I think the word will spread monday for the distribution and it will start to go out to the people who need it tuesday. Thank you for your prayers.

So glad to hear that food has arrived. Hope you'll be able to distribute it without problems. I am going to ask for the high calory food although we are not specialised in that but it doesn't cost asking.
People indeed asked for seeds and banan plants. I believe they actually need them as the gardens were washed away.
We might get some fundings to help people and particularly get seeds but nothing is certain yet
Will come next week

little update.
We talked with WHO and they say that the health ministry has their kits. I don't know what is in there but you should contact the health department in Port de Paix. We have also been told that Initiatives Development is the link NGO in the northwest. They have a center in jean Rabel but so far I haven't not been able ton talk to them there or in Port au Prince.
I guess this is all i can do so far. Will keep u in touch
